Volcano Hike #2

We pick you up early, and about halfway there, we stop so you can purchase a good breakfast to start the day before continueing on to the trailhead.

This is more of a casual walk through the jungle, with an easy trail that lets you take your time and enjoy the surroundings. As you go, you’ll experience Costa Rica’s different microclimates, traveling from the dry tropical forest into the rainforest.

Along the way, we’ll visit what we like to call our “mini-Yellowstone,” where bubbling mud pots and steaming sulfur fumaroles are a reminder that the volcano is still very much alive.

If you’d like, you can add a volcanic mud treatment and time in the hot springs. It’s an easy walk and a nice way to experience the volcano without a strenuous hike.
