How Did TPV Start?
TPV started as a simple tour and transportation company. We set out to show visitors the beauty of our country. As we worked with our guest, we realized that we could do more than just show them around.
We could help then have a better experience.
A more relaxing experience.
A more personal experience.
Sixteen years later, we're still doing exactly that.
We Came Looking for a Place
we Could Call Home.
When we came to Costa Rica, we were'nt just looking for a business oppourtunity. We were looking for a better way of life. We explored different parts of the country.
When we found this community, we knew we were home.
It had what we were looking for: a good paved road, a quiet 3 mile beach, local families, the real Costa Rica!
Costa Rica Changed Us.
Costa Rica has a way of changing your perspective.
The pace of life slows you down.
The beauty around you puts things in perspective.
The people remind you what really matters.
It taught us to appreciate simple moments.
It taught us to be more present.
It reminded us that life is about much more than checking things off a list.
More Than a Business
When we moved here, we came to build a company.
Over the years, we discovered that we were building something much more than that.
We became part of the community, our nieghbors became our friends.
The people we work with became part of our extended family. All of the restuarants we recommend are places where we eat ourselves.
Many of the families that we have worked with have become life long friends.
When someone chooses TPV, we don't want them to feel like tourists.
We want them to be our guests.
We want to introduce them to the Costa Rica we have come to know and love.
The People. The food. The beaches, The small businesses. The slower pace of life. The simple moments that make this country so special.
Why We Still Love What We Do.
People sometimes aks if we ever get tired of doing the same thing over and over. The answer is simple. No two vacations are ever the same. Every family is different. Every couple is different. Every group has it's own story. Some guests arrive exhausted from work. Some are celebrating anniversaries. Some are checking something off their bucket list. Some are introducing their grandchildren to Costa Rica for the very first time.
One of the greatest parts of what we do is watching people experience Costa Rica for the first time. It reminds us of the excitement and wonder you usually only see in children. Whether it's spotting their first sloth, watching monkeys swing through the trees, seeing the ocean from a mountain top, or simply slowing down enough to enjoy a sunset. It's a privilege to watch that sense of wonder come alive.
No matter how old someone is, Costa Rica has a way of bringing that feeling back. People laugh more. They spend more time together. They stop looking at their watches. They stop thinking about work. They simply enjoy where they are.
Watching those moments never gets old. Its one of the reasons we still love what we do after all these years.
