Costa Rica is known for surfing. Movies have even been made here, like Endless Summer and Endless Summer II, which was filmed at one of the surf breaks very close by.

 

We have very experienced Costa Rican surfers who know the breaks well and can help even the most experienced surfer get better.

 

They are also wonderful at teaching people who have never tried surfing or are just learning. They are very patient and will help you reach the ultimate goal — standing up on that board and riding your first wave.

 

You’ll learn the basics, get out in the warm Pacific water, and start catching waves. Don’t worry if it takes a few tries — that’s part of the fun. Once you stand up and ride that first wave, you’ll understand why surfing is such a big part of life here in Costa Rica.
